Uber - five drivers cancelled the request. Fifth one actually called me and asked me if I could pay him in cash - than card. I politely declined and he cancelled right away. Airport to Chennai Central - 45 minutes - through Anna Saalai. Impressed! 290 rupees ride. Just about 3 pounds! Tarvata Nellore ki Pinakini ticket 4 pounds

Just landed in Bombay and waiting for the domestic connection to Madras. Ubusupoka post chestunnaa.
Some observations.
1. Flight landed at 6:25am; We were out on the long walk to immigration and customs by 6:35am; Bombay Terminal 2 - awesome terminal.
2. Immigration - over in a jiffy. Many counters and so the crowd divided into smaller groups. Guy at the counter was not happy that I didn't carry my previous expired passport. "The new passport has the old passport number no?" didn't satisfy him. But eventually, he let me go.
3. Security for domestic flights in India - much more thorough compared to Heathrow. 75% of the bags are chosen for open bag check. Mine was just a laptop. So they let me go.
4. All plug points support UK plugs - Hurray!
So far, India really shining 
Next update after I land in Madras.

I traveled in Jet Airways via Brussels couple of years back.

Jet London to Mumbai leg are worst fleet to date......
this route is filled with even smaller airlines....reserving their best to cater....Jet...is so dated.....AirIndia is only little better because of dreamliner are new....they didnt manage them to be filthy just yet...
