I just opened Savings account immediately. Bank will not ask about your nri status. Just open the account as if you are a resident. Otherwise you can give your NRO account for salary deposits. | ||

i will be RNOR starting next april(indian tax year starts), as per indian and usa residency tests i am still nri until next march end. so how to deal until march. we should give nre/nro accounts for salary deposit when move back to india? | ||

Technically RNOR account open cheyyali. But assuming you will have your own address, PAN and aadhar .. opening savings account will not be a problem | ||

guys, first one year until tax year, still NRI's and us residents kinda ne lekka kada..techinically we not eligible to open native saving/checking accounts. so india vellaka job join ayite salary deposit meeru ela maintain chestunnaru? nre/nro accounts vaadutunnara? shed some light on it. thank you |
