This is a very common question, the reason why they do it ? The answer is fairly simple, they do it mainly for economic reasons. Also population growth has nothing to do with generic disorders.. the extinction wont happen, even if a population is going through 100% parallel cousin breeding. Consanguine descendant ante either patrilateral (father side) parallel cousin or matrilateral (mothers side) parallel cousin. Cross cousins ( matrilateral or patrilateral) are scientifically not consanguine descendants. So your fathers brothers daughter or son is your brother or sister. Do not marry them. Most probably you will get genetic defects related to Y chromosome. Your fathers sisters daughter or son is your Cross cousin. Happy gaa chesukondi. they are not consanguine descendants.
