Almost correct. Messi and Ronaldo are top class. No doubt. But definetly can’t be the greatest of all time, they may be considered while choosing the greatest of all time but can never win it. For every athlete in their corresponding sports they have some Pinnacle that they need to accend in order to make the cut above the rest. Both Messi and C Ronaldo are immensely more talented than be Brazilian Ronaldo. Brazilian Ronaldo had the fortune of being part of an All Time Great team. Goals were set up for him to execute on the big stage apart frm having a great defence. Argentina and Portugal without their stars hardly have a team worth mentioning which severely hampers Messi and Ronaldo to showcase their full potential in World Cups. Their Clubs are a different story where their respective teams are well oiled machines. End of the day....Football is a team sport. | ||

Ronaldo was the Best player of the late 90s and early 2000s. If only he was not food poisoned by France, he would have become first player with a Hattrick Worldcup. 1994-2006 Brazil Team itself was an extraordinary team with so many super stars. Messi and CR7 might be indivudually more talented then many others, but ultimately its the team effort that wins you the Worldcups. | ||
