if expired in the last 6 months, you can renew it (but the new date of renewal doesnt hold the continuity of the old license) without a new drive test. But if its over 6 months form the expiration date, you need to go through the BRAND NEW process(LLR + 6 months + drive test etc). Its a set back for NRIs with expired DL while overseas. They should allow NRIs to renew on their next India visit. This is the hole in the law. | ||

sorry i was not clear in my post. i still have my india DL and aa details icha.. ee question/doubt enduku ante wifey kosam.. india lo DL ledu.. apply cheyyalanna LLR exam raasi.. 3-6months lopu practical exam ivvali anta.. velle 1 month holidays idi ela avuddi.. so anduke asking.. she got UK DL but was not sure if it is allowed or not.. ee madya konchem rules strict chestunnaru.. paisalu kooda adagatam ledu.. straight fwd chalans istunnaru.. atleast nenu choosinantavaraku/exp chesinantavaraku in VIZAG.. | ||
