Abe chal!! naa post chaduvu. Visa is just permit to travel to the country. Not to stay in the country. The stay is only decided at POE by CBP officer with a date of your return (I-94). So, if he writes 10 years as your return date, you are legally eligible to stay that long. :-) | ||

Visa Date is only to enter into the States, beyond that that visa date is immaterial. H1/H4 Approval (I-797) notice: Date on this is ALSO immaterial. But the leaf for this would have a copy of I-94 with the expiration date. This is what your latest I-94 date while you didnt get out of the country. If you happen to enter into the states afresh, all the above dates would be overridden by the I-94 date given at your latest entry time. So, for your situation, check the latest I-94 (if the extension happened latest, check its leaf. If it happens an entry into US as latest, check that I-94 (its online now). Even then also if you find any mistake there, If I am in your shoes, I will go ahead and apply for the extension as usual and wait for either approval(95%) or for an RFE(5%) for the date issue in the I-94. If the RFE happens, then you can clearly explain the same situation(if the mistake in the I-94) with a letter. Dont worry, it should be straight forward if its a mistake from CBP folks. | ||

where is this date? is it on H4 797 or I94? Always H1, H4 I797 dates override airport I94 dates. I checked this information with local uscis office and also with airport authorities. | ||

i94 entry is done by CBP...customs and border patrol you can find local location or the station/office in nearest airport at https://www.cbp.gov/contact/ports they usually have a time window during the work hours for data correction find the hours and just go there | ||

there should not be any issues, they are just correcting the date which should have been 7/18. you can explain, rest of the family had same date and we did not notice this. it's surprising why they did it to only one? does your son's passport expire? | ||

My H1B is due for extension. Jul-08-18 varaku undi h1. My company is filing for extension this week. Ninna docs check chesta unte my Son 3yrs old di I-94 date 05-18-08 vrake undi maadi andaridi 07/18 varaku undi. Visa is valid till Jul-08th. Vadi passport lo visa date is till Jul 08th. Ippudu nenu em cheyyali? Should I wait for my company to file the extension. This week they file. Or should I go to local USCIS office and cange the date on I-94. Please suggest cheyyandi. |
