idhi already confirmed yesterday.....Congress demand for supporting JDS is an alliance in 2019 and JDS has agreed. No matter what BJP does now, they will fight together. In that case better to fight and form govt now.// they can let them form and split JDS or support JDS later after 2019. their primary focus I guess should be 2019. HDK is very keen to go with BJP anyway. my point is is it really worth to split JDS now. I do not see any marginal benefit for 2019, of any it will unite opposition elsewhere, not just in KA. but AS as I said has a diff view of things. he will have no half measures. | ||

agree. they may still get to 40-42% in LS (but still oka 2-3% loss). andukey they should sit this out and let INC+JDS form the govt. opposition ki unnecessary plank to unite. is JDS does not form again, imagine they are out of power for 15 yrs. so 2019 lo INC+JDS will be confirmed and bokka borla padtaru BJP. marginal benefit for BJP from KA is almost 0. if they split it will only lead to loss. | ||

final numbers as per ECI. INC 38% BJP 36.2% JDS 18.4% 2014 INC 40.8% BJP 43% JDS 11% 2013 INC 36.6% BJP 33.5% (combined yeddy + sri ramulu) JDS 20.2% I think very tough to predict for pollsters. it shows BJP combine improving but at the expense of INC and JDS. INC still holding its vote share infact improving. I think the vote concentration was made it tough to predict as always | ||

congrats BJP. one more feather in the cap. they should sit out and let INC+JDS crumble rather than splitting now. they will have enough chances after 2019 anyway. also do not think there is much upside anyway from 2018 in terms of LS. it will only antagonize and unifies opposition BJP GOT 34.8%, inc 35,7% and JDS 23.5% all along it was said BJP needs to get 38% for simple majority. looks like they did with 3% less. looks like good mutual transfer of votes between BJP and JDS to kill INC. BJP down 8% from 2014 LS though. their best way is to sit out till 2019. |
