Ok muslims and sc are 12% and 23%. Even if you take 30% as base oka 60% padda 18% Kuruba 8% to 7% vasthaay, which is 25% total. Inka other obcs sc/st lo 50% antey oka5%. If you add lingayat split like you said and minor oc and gowdas oka 3-4% which brings them to 33-34% which means hung  | ||

I wrote below. SC same as Muslims. Consolidation towards Siddaramiah. BC s- Kurubas with Siddaramiah. And other BC s are slightly jealous, but the benefited a lot from the schemes. And they do not want to vote for BJP either. So interesting battle. RSS pramukhs may have an effect on BC s also but not as much as the Tribals. | ||

There is slight split in Lingayats. The poorer sections among them I.e. those depending on the educational network etc are supporting the separate religion agitation and there may be an additional 10% Lingayat vote swing towards the Congress. traditionally Cong gets about 10-15% Lingayat vote,but this time they may get about 20-25% among the Lingayats. About 25% of the Muslims in KA have voted for the BJP, but this time majority of Muslims and SC s are expected to vote en-masse for the Congress. Flip side of this, forward caste consolidation towards BJP, so Cong will get lesser seats than 2013 in the Coastal areas. ST votes are split.....and this time, there may be slight advantage to Cong. But there are Lakhs of RSS pramukhs working on the field who will influence the ST votes. So it may be 50-50 X factor is the Vokkaligas. SOLIDLY behind their JDS where they are strong. Expected to vote for BJP where they do not have a chance. | ||
