Heard a similar story from my neighbor...his friend was working for a company that got acquired by Cognizant, his amendment got denied and he left for India eventually...his friend worked for that company for almost 10 years it seems
You have 60 days grace period if you lose a job but when your h1 is rejected you are technically out of status immediately, that's the reason CTS forces people to leave country immediately | ||

My colleague's nephew had his h1 rejected this week. He has an Ms and MBA and part of marketRx team. Pretty smart guy. Some thing to do with cognizant acquisition of marketRx.. don't know the exact details .. but cognizant is now asking him to move to India in 15 days. That is a bummer!!
