what is new or change?

there is no change...but the number of applicants with Master's quota is increasing/getting piled up every year...ee year pick avvani vaallu, they enroll again in another college for a second Masters and apply again for the next years Master's quota and so on...nobody will be leaving back to India as they already spent so much money for their Masters...alaa pile ayyi ayyi, their number is overtaking compared to non Master's...its time for Govt to give 40k or 50k just for Master's and reduce for non masters..

now around 75k With US Masters degree will have to fight out in the lottery along with another 94k regular applicants...its really sad for people doing Masters here...better they dont even come for Masters...

yes last 7-8 years

it's has become a tough road to take
unless you go to a very good school and are okay with leaving the country if h1 is not picked/approved

I always thought it was like this

first round lo masters - 95885
out of which 20k picked
75885 remained
add to non masters 94213
and draw again for remaining 65k

what is new or change?

What does it mean? For non-U.S. Master degree holders, their odds remained same, but for winning odds for U.S. Master degree holders, the winning rate fell devastatingly low! See the details of the counts

04/12/2018: SHOCKS, SHOCKS! Devastating H-1B Master Cap Random Selection Chances

USCIS received the following numbers (NUMBERS ARE REAL!!! HOW CAN THIS BE REAL?):
Regular Cap: 94,213 (for 65,000 cap)
Master Cap: 95,885 (for 20,000 cap)
It means that the first random selection involving U.S. Master cap was unbelievable low, low, low!!!
It also means that the second random selection involving Bachelor degree or Non-U.S. Master or Ph.D foreign degrees ended upto the number of 170,098 since the U.S. Master degree cases of 75,885 which failed to be selected in the U.S. Master cap are added to the non U.S. advanced degree cases.
What does it mean? For non-U.S. Master degree holders, their odds remained same, but for winning odds for U.S. Master degree holders, the winning rate fell devastatingly low! See the details of the counts
