It turns out, the meeting details may have been... wait for it.... made up. The Canadians are unsure what meeting Trump's referring to. One said the conversation might have been by phone. Apparently, 1/2 2/ they have these sorts of chats about the deficit/surplus once in a while. But this story - "Justin comes in," etc, etc, we send our officials out of the room, they come back in, I was right on trade... Apparently it's a blend of different chats. And one person I heard from 3/ said this anecdote from Trump most resembles a chat they may have had by phone. 4/ So... this Trump anecdote about making up a fact on an allegedly made up trade metric might have been slightly... made up. Behold, a matryoshka doll of tall-tales 5/ Okay - have tried getting Canadians to chat about what happened in Trudeau/Trump meeting. No takers. They never get into details about POTUS/PM. But I can report with certainty that there is some confusion in Ottawa about when/where this encounter is supposed to have happened 6/ Best I can glean is the story is a composite sketch of chats by phone, in person, and internally within the White House. But not clear when there was ever a meeting where there was a debate, aides were sent out to find trade facts, and they came back in to prove POTUS right | ||

This is a small snippet but it provides insight into how he operates. just makes up stuff and I really feel sorry for those who think there is thought process behind it. This pattern is very evident from first day he is in office and it is consistent with what his contemporaries have been telling all along. Remember, this is a meeting with international ally. This is president of united states talking !!! The fact is US does have trade surplus with Canada not deficit!! How would any international leader have a serious conversation with him. It's sad some of you still think people like me are after everything trump does. no we are not. we are looking even for slightest sign of light to work with him but he is painfully uninformed ,ignorant and unwilling to learn!!! His only reasoning to believe that trade deficit exists is because he thinks every other lawmaker is stupid! facts dont matter!! and you are willing to put up with this because you hate MSM or Hillary or something else!!!! |
