One of my freind moved back to desam and his kids studied in Oakridge International Hyd

Now he is comming back and his son got Local status in Texas as my friend maintained his tax residency status in Texas (he got business and used to run in payroll in Texas)

** No **

2) will there be a fees advantage if kid is local to the state (say for eg CT) and wants to join in local State Univ.
** state universities fees are almost half for instate students

2 a) If some outside person say from NJ wants to join in UCONN (viceversa) and get a fees concession in CT, how long does he/she need to study in CT? like from 9th onwards, 10th or just 11th and 12th good?
** 2 years I think should be fine.. but not sure

2 b) Any difference in getting Scholarship for student from local vs student from other state.
** there are some merit scholarships for only instate students.. however most merit scholarships are available to apply for all students

** No difference there

fees for local students in State universities is cheaper by around 10-20K per year
