So you are saying ICANN should not exist?

Platypus:

We can still use the transport layer TCP or UDP and remove the centralised components in application layer... best bet would be to use Chainmesh protocol

Key components of decentralised internet will be

1. Block chain kind of technology to bind digital property like domain names to public keys
2. Peer network gives a global index for discovery info
3. Decentralised storage system

Users will be free to register and read the info without trusting any remote parties say DNS in traditional internet world

As of niw any underlying glitches of distributed ledger system and scalability are the challenges for this system
Hope I have atleast partially answered ur question

Lenin,

Why don't you post your architecture of how a serverless internet would look like so that we can understand your version of the internet? A picture speaks a thousand words.

If you are saying you don't want servers, what exactly are you accessing the internet from? Any mobile phone, laptop or tab these days can run a webserver and get on the internet. If they are all servers and you envisage a serverless internet, what exactly does it look like?

The main intent of distributed internet is to kill ISP providers and offer low cost to internet users

like the internet costs are socialized , but the profits are privatized as we end up paying for the infra of ISPs

Think of distributed internet like a block chain...nuv cheppe file sharing apps can be controlled by some one at one point (who has coded that app) and also scalability undadu

Lenin:

u have to host ur self on a 'server' again
server unte inka decentralization em untadi

Server lekunda peer to peer file sharing apps.. chaal aunnai..
if you want to serve on a larger scale , you just have a static IP ( and preferably a DNS entry) , you can share anything to the world with your webserver( Malli server undi anaku,.adi just another a program listening on a port and serving the requests).

U'll either use a VPN or Proxy kada man even to download

even though they say it's decentrailized (like Bittorrent) , the download process is heavily relied on central servers...don't get caught by the names
