depending on the level of complexity you want; you can add sankalpam and anga/kara nyasa as well. but once again these are process steps and the much more important thing is to understand the slokas.. keep your heart at the right place; read it with an open mind; and you should be good. once you begin; you will figure a way out for yourself...thats the beauty of our epics..Everyone can figure out a way to decode the text. It is very layered..On top it seems like the story of Hanuma; but beneath it there are multiple layers.. | ||

different ways.. ultimate point is not to read the slokas in sanskrit/telugu/english but understand the philosophy behind them. I've done parayana in a single a few times, and what I've realized is that it is not something that has to be done for the sake of doing.. Realize that "Sundarakanda" or as a matter of act anything else, parayana is not just reading it but understanding it. and it cant happen in one sitting; it takes years.. If you want to do it; I think there are about 3500 slokas..and without complicating it with too many things..you can do the following: 1) start with Srirama pooja (ashtottharam) 2) read sankshiptha ramayanam 3) start sundara kanda 4) end with sri rama paduka pattbhishekam sarga 5) make sure during lanka dahana sarga, you give some harathi and prasadam 6) maha naivedyam at end If you decide to do it in multiple days, make sure to know which sarga you should stop every day (it is recommended to stop at a happy spot instead of otherwise) But once again; the imp. thing is to understand the philosophy and how you can use the values proposed to improve your life. Otherwise, its just like reading another book/story.. | ||

Thanks saar, will have to see how I can do the pradakshinam.. I have not time limit,, Morning 5 ki start cheste better antannaru,, 14km will easily take 4 hrs, so 9-10 kalla ayipovachu.. if you stay in Ramana Asramama (heard from another person who stayed there during our visit) that you need to have food only there but not anywhere else. so if you are NOT used to close to satvik and limited food stay else where. My brother stayed in a resort kind of thing. I suggest andhra asramam which is close by, walkable to Ramana asramam and nice. distance between temple and ramana asramam is about 2KM or so. walkable. giri pradakshinam typically takes about 3 to 4 hours but on a rush day add another hour or two. depends on how you want to visit the 8 lingas during the pradakshinam. if you add these darshanams to pradakshinam add another hour. with my mom and friend we did one auto pradakshinam by stopping at each of these ashta linga temples which was easy for them. paripaalana anta baagunTe nee endorsement enduku bujja? petrol bokka... | ||

Sri chaganti gaaru oka pravachanam lo chepparu.. evaro vachchi evandi "samosaalu naivedyam pettachcha?" ani adigaranta... ala undi nee prasna.. That is the reason I said finish it in one day if you can.. chalamandi sundarakanda parayanam chesina rojulu or vinna rojulu brahmacharyam, bhoo Sayanam chestaaru. What i meant was you try to chant them after bath for few days and finish few sargas. Once confident of chanting (reading sanskrit slokas in telugu) then invite priest and chant with him. Usually they go fast but you can request and chant with him. basically for any vratam, pooja, parayanam etc., the suggested food is satvik food,, Chalamandi garlic, onion kooda avoid chestaru, Inkoti enti ante, ending roju pattabhishekam chapter chadavamantaaru.. parayanam chese prati roju, naivedyam like payasam, or vadapappu+panakam or some fruits like any other parayanam Mostly preferred in the morning after regular pooja or during pradosha time.. #Jai Simha Audio Review | ||

there are different ways to do the parayanam. The more you stretch the more cautious (rather that is the vedic way to live) one should be. I will copy below the ways in next post (from Internet but verified). I have the published book with vidhanam in telugu and can copy the vidhanam from the book as well. If you can afford, have a priest from local temple and he can do it for you. This way it will be done in one day authentically and you can join the parayanam as well. I suggest to finish the parayanam in one day. This is best However for the first timers reading sanskrit (in telugu lipi) might be tough so get used to sanskrit slokas first. Roju snanam chesi poojadikaalu chesukunnaka evening oka sarga chaduvukotam kooda manchide. mee veeluni batti it can be any days upto 40 days. Doing sundarakanda is more done as 40 days. But there is no hard and fast rule regarding number of days. Typically people do sundarakanda paranayam based on number of days they decide and break pages to fit each day. There are many sundarakanda parayanam books in Telugu. You read the meaning or slokas or both as per your convenience..Language doesnt really matter. English lo parayanam book dorikite ade chadiveyyandi, your convenience is important.. Online lo kooda pDF's untayi google cheyyandi.. There will be more rules while doing parayanam, but like as any parayanam, the dedication/devotion is important.. #Jai Simha Audio Review | ||

Shlokas are in Sanskrit...English lo unna book techukunte all chapters are in english...and some slokas are in sanskrit with english meaning.. kochen is how should those sholkas be read ? In english or sanskrit ..english okay ante need a book where sanskrit slokas are dubbed into english and not just the meaning.. alane chapters english lo ala chadivesukuntu vellipovacha ?
