You’re conveniently diverting my comments to temple GO. To be clear, I welcome the GO on temples not celebrate the Christian New Year. And, I'm a strong advocate for Ugadi. I know the Vedic and astronomic significance of Ugadi. I'm not a Kathi Mahesh or a YCP so far unless you recommend. Coming to the bars why should CBN extend it to 1 pm? The contrast here is, you are encouraging to discontinuing the western culture via the GO, which is emphatically good and welcome (may not be for YCP or Roja but I welcome it), on the other hand, you are promoting the bad western culture by extending bars. First of all, no temple is open at midnight. The GO is not to keep temple open at midnight but not to spend on celebrations such as lighting and floral decorations.
