I meant but morally despicable.
Leaving a kid in car and going for quick shopping for 5 minutes or going to Neighbour house for quick chat are innocent mistakes. There are moral and legal guidelines. Your examples are drastically different from the one we are discussing. You said yourself that no body leaves a 3 year old. Period. Your examples are probably legally punishable and morally debatable. But leaving a 3 year old alone for 90 minutes is not legally and morally despicable. Going house to play on his own is not legal, if the other neighbors know then its fine. Rules are Any age below 8 cannot be left alone 8-10 can be left alone for brief period, like 1-2 hours not during night 10-12 can be left along for 3-5 hours but not during night. Ikkada rules are very strict, but outsiders will not know, or who came here recently will not know.. Once incident I saw will let you know. family was sitting in garage and the 4 year old kid was playing and she left on her own and went somewhere that someone found her and called cops. Cops gave the kid to the family and gave a warning. No arrest. Same thing happened for another family, they left a 6 yr old kid to pick other kid it was half hour or something, Neighbor found kid was alone and called cops. Even at that time it was warning, no arrest. Ikkada death case kabatti immediate gaa arrest chesaru, prati incident ki arrest cheyyaremo.. People do leave kids not 3 yr old but 2-3rd grade for 1/2hr or so.. I have seen many families do that. Legally its not justified, but they cant hire someone to take care for 1/2 so they take chances.
