>>eventually they use their own blockchain...which long shot.....but still they need to relay on middlewhere like oracles to contact out side their blockchains....

Oracles/Cryptlets are anyway needed - to pull data from external systems into the DLT. No company/consortium would put their transactions on a public blockchain. So, the only way these enterprises would adopt blockchain is a private blockchain implementation using Ethereum/Hyper Ledger/Corda etc. It is not a long shot anymore. 2017 is about doing POCs. 2018 is about production implementations. Most financial firms in Europe are actively looking into blockchain.

OMG seems to be another cryptocurrency implementation of Ethereum blockchain. We are not talking about cryptocurrencies here. Most use cases in the enterprises are about smart contracts in every industry. Cryptocurrency is only one such usecase.

>>all infra run by users.

Not in an enterprise scenario. In that case, the firm owns the infrastructure. You are talking from a cryptocurrency point of view. Consortiums use their own infra (physical/virtual) to handle smart contracts.

Who? Would like to read about this. We are coming up with a breakthrough framework to host distributed ledgers where the throughput is reaching the order of thousands per second. Never heard of those transactions in the millions range. I may be mistaken though.

OMG saying they scalling up to mill trx/per sec lately

blockchain issue is with scale. with current design n infra it cannot handle high volumes without compromising speed. mari IBM is only testing waters emo.

...the whole decentralized concept it about scaling ...like OMG, some other already doing 1 mill transactions/pre second....

btw what infra u need, all infra run by users...as it get more popularity/mainstream ..more incentives to minors/operators..etc ...so no need to worry about infra...

It can scale up to thousands of transactions per second in a private blockchain scenario (the enterprise use case). 2018 is the sweet spot for Blockchain.

Makes sense - Trade Finance is a great use case for DLT disruption.
