రాంబిల్లి : విశాఖ జిల్లాలో కురుస్తున్న భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా రాంబిల్లి మండలం కొత్తూరు వద్ద మేజర్‌ శారదానదిపై ఉన్న ఏడుమూళ్ల ఆనకట్ట గేట్లు వరద ఉద్ధృతికి కొట్టుకుపోయాయి. ఈ ఏడాది రూ.1.5 కోట్లతో మరమ్మతులు చేసినా.. ఆనకట్ట గేట్లు కొట్టుకుపోవడంతో రైతులు తీవ్ర ఆందోళన వ్యక్తంచేస్తున్నారు. 1909లో ఆంగ్లేయుల కాలంలో నిర్మించిన ఆనకట్టకు ఇప్పటివరకూ కొన్ని కోట్ల రూపాయలు వెచ్చించి మరమ్మతులు చేపడుతున్నా.. పనుల్లో నాణ్యత లోపిస్తోందని ఆరోపిస్తున్నారు. ఆదివారం రాత్రి ఆనకట్టకు ఏడూమూళ్ల పంట కాలువ వైపు భారీ ఇనుప గేట్లు కూలిపోయి కొట్టుకుపోయాయి. నిధులు మంజూరైనా ఆనకట్టకు పూర్తిస్థాయిలో మరమ్మతులు చేయించలేని సంబంధిత జలవనరుల శాఖ అధికారులను సస్పెండ్‌ చేయాలని రైతులు డిమాండ్‌ చేస్తున్నారు.
