ARR show will have more lipsync than IR.. Ippudu vache topu singers cannot perform live ARR songs which are very difficult on stage. Recording lo kooda ARR takes lot of care, and repeating that on stage live is practically impossible, So there will be lipsync On the other hand, IR will not encourage that but lately singers to problem valla might be but chances are less. When he had SPB, Mano, Shailaja, Chitra in hand, during live concerts, he never had to manage anything.. However ippudu vache sagam toppasi singers to its tough.. #Mahaanubhavudu Audio review | ||

ARR concerts lo chaala lip sync untai. They are recorded with same singer who is performing and lip sync'ed ani naa feeling. Anni kaadu konni Like MPS brother said in another thread, if singers can't hit the right notes in live, in those cases. | ||

The reason is, it is easier to set up orchestra for songs that are in both tamil and telugu. They can mix match songs when there is tour across a country - same song is sung in Tamil in Texas and in Telugu in SanJose. IMO, If there is any bigger fan of IR music it is SPB. SPB had advantage of working and watching IR very very close, more than any one else in the industry. The relationship has deteriorated over a period of time and it was not a sudden. The rift is beyond what public knows. It may be small ego clash to some thing else. You can watch different concert videos of Ilayaraja from 2011 till 2016. You can easily see the way IR received SPB's comments in his concerts has changed. It became very obvious in their interactions and hugs. In Tamil Jayachandran, Umaramanan, Jency, Malaysia Vasudevan etc. Karthik has a good voice and great talent, but he is no where close to the legends in expression, dynamics and modulation. So aa Legends paadina paatalni Karthik, Haricharan etc singers tho padisthe adhi kooda IR concert lo - avi enthaina thelipothai. Again I say, they sing well. IR telugu concert without SPB is like eating boorelu without Neyyi  ... aa ruchey veru. | ||

I participated in the discussions and you are guessing. This is the problem with our society. All you have to do is search the threads and know for a fact what the content was in the discussions. I like all musicians including SPB. If I had an issue with IR, would bring that upto. I love his 80s/90s music. Wish I were in Hyderabad. I don't think it is fair to accuse one of India's greatest genius with unfounded rumors, insults, etc. Like I said, man speaks every South Indian language fluently. That is the respect he shows all these various cultures. | ||

1) It's a pure Telugu concert in Hyderabad. Don't waste time with your language hate. 2) SPB didn't sing 99% of IR songs in any language. Competent singers are there. IR does music shows more to showcase his song's music. Besides, if anything, that incident opened up SPB's childish action and inferior defence when the tide went against him. Lastly, this is the forum that discussed to death that SPB killed opportunities of other singers...so the sudden love😂. 3) ARR's show in London had more Hindi songs than Tamil. The songs list was released. But wherever Northies go, they expect North food and Hindi. They will expect panneer at a non-veg Andhra meals restaurant. This demographic has a problem with anyone that tries to showcase other languages. 4) Unlike many other music directors, I have seen IR speak fluently in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada in interviews. That's how much respect he has shown for languages that he has worked in. Considering he has only 9th grade education, that itself is marvellous. 5) Friend had first hand experience of IR telling a mostly Tamil Toronto crowd of nearly 20000 to keep quiet and listen or he will leave the stage just before starting a concert. Him telling of hecklers is not a surprise. I have watched videos of repeating portions because the audience clapped and didn't hear what he wanted them to... 6) I agree: Don't go if you prefer to dance, heckle or just want beat songs. You know what you will enjoy. Worse, don't take your young children to any concert that lasts 3-4 hours. Even if it is just a purely Telugu concert, don't go. Better for you and IR. | ||

The song list is not chosen by Music director. This is by organizers. But he might have a say in few songs but I dont think he gives the list of songs to organizers. Every concert will have a pre-published list of songs, which will get modified by 1-2 songs based on demand from Audience. IR is known to have Tamil liking, you cannot blame him for that. In general yes he always prefers to Talk in Tamil as every Tamilian does. Organizers should be able to get the list of songs they want. I loved IR as music director. But when we went to eh concerts, I had a feeling that IR doesnt want to sing telugu songs. He only playing Telugu songs just because he had to and no other choice. The songs he chooses are mostly those songs that are in Tamil also. I dont know the problem with this guy. If he loves Tamil so much then he should not have made music in Telugu...
