Vaadi uddhesham - AP will house Fintech firms and system integrators who specialize in transforming all industry verticals - using distributed ledger technology (unfancy name for Blockchain). Maybe he also wants AP government to lead with implementing DLT for all government systems and thereby become the leader in blockchain implementations. Kaani, blockchain (DLT) isn't about technology. It is more on the process side - where you have to fundamentally transform the way you handle interactions between multiple parties - whether they are people, systems, devices or processes. 90% of the work is in reimagining this. 10% is the technical implementation. Lokesh probably is hinting at becoming an early mover in utilizing the concept of an immutable DLT. Or he is talking about becoming the preferred destination for firms which specialize in Fintech. I think both are unrealistic. Worldwide, DLT projects are almost 100% POC at the moment and there is barely one or two live use cases in production. However, if he is really serious about it and transform - let us say - registrations (auto, real estate), supply chain, benefits program etc using DLT - more power to him. I would be happy to see it in action and will vote for Lokesh unconditionally if that happens. | ||

Blockchain is a chain of blocks (each having some N transactions). The transactions are verified not by a central authority such as a bank but by the power of cryptography. So, blockchain can transform any industry sector where trust is brought into the equation by using a central authority. Inherent to blockchain is the concept of immutability. (If are Accenture, you are working on a modifiable blockchain - an oxymoron if you ask me.) | ||
