Saarang:

..so the answer will be less than 32% kadha?

Sorry
3) answer is 100-81.85= 18.15%
4) You have to calculate the Z score for each value and add them up

Z= (3-3.5)/(3/(100^.5))= -1.66
Z=(4-3.5)/(3/(100^.5))=+1.66

Now look up both the scores on the standard normal table and add the areas up with comes .096

2) Question lone its given that the jar hass 10 spicy jelly beans. So there is no way that the sample can have more than 10 kada.

You have (90+10) beans and the draw is 100. So you basically are taking out all the beans from the jar. So there is no probability of more than 10 spicy beans

Dreameronaroll:

b. question ee artham kaaledu.

One hundred draws are made at random with replacement from a jar containing 10 spicy jelly beans and 90 sour jelly beans. What is the probability that there are 10 or more spicy jelly beans in the sample?

A random sample with replacement of size 100 is drawn from a population with mean 3.5 and standard deviation 3. Use the normal approximation to calculate the probability that the sample average is between 3 and 4?

Dreameronaroll:

c. 81.85%

Standard normal distribution lo area between -1 and 1 will be 68%...so the answer will be less than 32% kadha?

1) Let X be a normal random variable with mean 50 and standard deviation 10. What is the chance that X ≥60? Round your answer to two decimal places

2) One hundred draws are made at random with replacement from a jar containing 10 spicy jelly beans and 90 sour jelly beans. What is the probability that there are 10 or more spicy jelly beans in the sample? Round your answer to two decimal places.

3) Let XX be a standard normal random variable. What is the probability that XX is smaller than -1 or larger than 2? Round your answer to two decimal places.

4) A random sample with replacement of size 100 is drawn from a population with mean 3.5 and standard deviation 3. Use the normal approximation to calculate the probability that the sample average is between 3 and 4. Round your answer to three decimal places.
