3 hours ago As a neutral non-fan Telugu movie goer at the end of the move, I want something new from every movie experience. I don't expect inception or interstellar but I expect something decent within tfi parameters. Movies like temper, BM are welcome. Movies which pretend to have a lot of content but are actually routine movies like sm, JG are much hated. Anything really special in the thuppaki, kaththi zone is a huge bonus and movies like BB are godsent. For me, JLK is more than decent. It is a experience in between temper and thuppaki range. It is very entertaining and I just felt what would have happened had someone like maryada ramanna time SSR or trivikram or dookudu-king form seenu vaitla directed this. Not just the director but DSP and chota were also not at their best. They only gave half efforts. But the hero of the movie NTR, literally and also figuratively was a triple booster nuclear fuelled rocket which boosted the movie from mediocrity into a fun zone by exercising sheer will power and determination to make his name and be recognised as a "great actor". You would expect a 40+ Mahesh or a career end PSPK to show urgency in once more proving their silverscreen greatness. But it is a 33 year old 26 film old NTR who tries doing it with every movie. Mahesh and pk seem relaxed and cool headed in aiming for success, NTR always seemed to want to hit success in his very next 1 minute. Maybe this lack of coolness made him take bad decisions, but it has all changed now. Competitors beware! The guy who was made fun of about not being able to topple the 50c figure has now finally understood his strengths and weaknesses. What started as a small breeze with temper is now threatening to be a hurricane. He can do any role. I will raise my hand and confidently say that if he is cast opposite Kamal Hassan too he will still come out with flying colours. You can stop talent. It is like a mighty River, people can build dams over them, tame them. But you cannot stop will power. It is like a hurricane, a force of nature. If you think you can tame it, it will •••• you right in your face. |
