Good olden days, we used to have 45% free seats and 45% payment seats and 10-15% Management quota. Supreme Court(or high court) gave a ruling its up to private colleges to choose fee structure but with govt policy, they categorized into 4-5 groups and decided the fee. Poor people who cannot afford private education, atleast appear EAMCET and become engineers/doctors. There is good shot getting into these streams if tried very hard and luck favors little bit. Now also there are free seats but only govt colleges/universities. Now getting free seat is almost unlikely and fees are too much to afford. Banks wont give educational loans if they cant show any surety / poor family. very unfortunate. Even government policies /court orders are encouraging private education. This is going to be a big problem in down the line. AP students are atleast lucky to have free reimbursement. If this is removed, enrollments will go down by 50-60% |
