NO... In both case the word is "Out of the box" (Though outside of the box is also used and may be "more right", but thinking 'out of the box' is also right and used for centuries.. Just evolution of language.. I believe we can't say people are confused and using it wrong.. ) Let me try one more simplified explanation... It all depends on where you are.. In the box of out side of the box. When you buy a product, you are outside of the product box. Expecting features come/work right "out of the box" When you are building the product, you are inside the box, and need to think out side your product to enhance or add breakthrough features.. this is when your boss says "Think Out of the box" | ||
