India would never give the same level of control of the land, like the US has in Afghanistan. Today Afghanistan borders Iran, Pakistan, China three very important countries in global politics. In the Past Afghanistan was bordering USSR, but now Russia has little control over here. We dont know if Russia will ever be as big again, but in case it were to try to attack Georgia, or Tajakistan, afghanistan is still a key location. | ||

I am not sure about that. 1) ISIS will gain a strong hold in Afghanistan. 2) China will use this to their advantage. They have already started influencing Pak Policy, if the start to influence Afghan, US and India both are at losing ends. | ||

Trump cannot keep everyone of his base happy. Bannon went to the extent of publicly saying that there will be no war with NK, going against what Trump was saying. Good or Bad, Bannon was against war any where. Its not a surprise that Afghan policy came out after Bannon was ousted. Its understandable that he is talking against Trump here, like he said the Trump's administration he worked for is not there anymore. If he lost support from some of his base, he might have gained some from others. This article is basically staying in line with what Bannon is, however it is not consistent with what Trump said earlier. | ||

I agree.
