Last year i was handling 62 resources in my project. felt bore and couldnt travel from thoraipakkam to mepz. forcebly cameout myself from an account of 1300 associates. Cognizant has lot of issues, true, with bench utilization cross spilling etc etc... But they have definitely initiated lot of reforms.... From my friends, what I came to know is Manual testing lo unnavallaki automation testing + learning one dev language mandatory chesaru... Similar changes are getting introduced for every practice.... Also, hiring freze, onsite travel freeze nadusthondi.... External recruitment ante cfo/coo level approvals unte Kami recruitment cheyyatledu.... Same with onsite travels... Also, performance appraisal process has been revamped...It's on path of changes.... US lo witch emo kaani India lo it's a bread provider for many tens of thousands... cognizant has lost its charm, and its true identity and company it was few years back. now it is carrying 30k testing practice with no new offerings. there is no dedicated salesforce practice no dedicated devops testing practise and no updating cloud/Devops like Testing as Service model and CI/CD. they dont reimburse to people who do devops/cloud/agile external certifications.very few know automation skills.all they have is functional testers. gone amma..cognizant pani aeipoyeindi. new companies like cigniti/mindtree are leading the pack now..energetic and youth.. there are 100's of applications from cognizant folks to cigniti/mindtree now with 30% of companies going to continous testing model and more in coming years Cognizant testing folks will be absolute with current resources no one knows devops/ci/cd they put some mandatory courses in devops/automation but no one is taking them seriously. |
