Seen it on Britain's largest IMAX screen - 15perf/70mm. Most of the movie is in this aspect ratio. So it is an out of world experience. Cinematography and Hans Zimmer kosam paisalu iccheyocchu. Ika pothe, because the incident is close to home; is something Britain can never ever forget; Dunkirk is almost a shout away (When you take off from Heathrow, you cross Dunkirk even before the plan levels!), I loved it. It is a heavy movie and almost a tearjerker. Towards the end, you feel the pain yourself and you root for the men stranded on the beach. When the civilian boats arrive, it is a goosebumps moment - thanks to the wonderful BGM by HZ. It is not a movie for everyone. Unless you know what Dunkirk is and have some connection to it, you will probably feel bored in the movie. Caution: If you are watching it in a 15/70 theatre, make sure you have seat at the back of the auditorium. Otherwise you will end up with nausea. Quite a bit of shaky camera work. Movie received a standing ovation from everyone. |
