Status of work on Polavaram project 156 . Smt. Renuka Chowdhury (a) the present status of work on Polavaram project; (b) the total funds released for land acquisition, relief and rehabilitation measures in connection with the project along with the status of utilization certificate for the released funds; and (c) the fresh steps taken by Government to increase pace of Polavaram project particularly of the main project and left main canal? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION (Dr. SANJEEV KUMAR BALYAN) (a) As per information provided by Polavaram Project Authority (PPA), physical progress of various works upto May 2017 is given below: Head Work ⢠Earth Work â 66% ⢠Embankment â 9% ⢠Concrete for navigation tunnel and OT regulator â 6% ⢠Gates for connectivities â 30% Right Main Canal ⢠Earth work- 100% ⢠Lining â 79% ⢠Structure â 61% (by numbers) Left Right Main Canal ⢠Earth work- 86% ⢠Lining â 62% ⢠Structure â 24% (by numbers) Contdâ¦p/2 //2// (b) Central Assistance (CA) of Rs.562.47 crore was provided to Polavaram Project under AIBP up to 2009-10. Further, an Amount of Rs.3364.70 crore has been released for this project including that for Land Acquisition and Relief & Rehabilitation after it was declared National Project during 2014 as per the A.P. Reorganisation Act, 2014. The funds are released for the project after receipt of Utilization Certificate from PPA for the previous releases. (c) The Polavaram Project Authority has been constituted for execution of the project preferably through concerned State departments and obtain all requisite clearances, regulations and development of the project. Further, to expedite the completion of the project, Dam Design Review Panel (DDRP) has been constituted to provide technical and strategic guidance for planning, design, etc. and an Expert Committee has been constituted to overview the implementation of Polavaram project and to coordinate with Dam Design Review Panel(DDRP)/Contractor/State/Polavaram Project Authority(PPA)/CWC Design Units/CWPRS in respect of various issues related to design, implementation, studies etc. and addressing the bottlenecks. DDRP has held 7 meetings and Expert Committee has made one visit to the project. They have made number of suggestions for smooth implementation of the project. | ||

idi eluru ayacut kinda 1 lac acres ni stabilize cheyatam kosam. currently eluru ayacut storage has 25 tmc capacity, but never had 25 tmc in last few years.from there give water to vizag. that's it. next year gravity dwara water isthe e project not useful. but in this phase lone polavaram canal nundi 2 pumps dwara eluru ayacut ki link chesthunnaru adokkkate useful in future. | ||
