Ao - Few years back Ao use to be very slow, turned fast-- advantage fedex, hardcourt players. Gross- Gross become slow after 2014 - advantage to base line players. Us open- Very fast but recent years turned into very slow court advantage to base line players. ledu slice is effective in it's own sense.. especially on grass.. but wen it doesn't have enough bite and deep it sits up and Nadal/Djokovic lantollu kummevaaru.. that's why it was always very important to hit it with topspin a lot more against these guys to stay with them in rallies.. and this new racquet has helped him hugely in my opinion.. especially on returns too he used to slice/chip them back a lot even on second serves as they almost always go to his backhand.. of all things the break pt conversion rate used to be horrific.. used to loathe him for that when they were taking advantage like that so easily.. and that is such a refreshing change in his game finally this season.. | ||

not a liability in general to me.. that's why the double quotes.. it never was during his peak years.. however it indeed has been his weaker wing and a liability against Nadal all career which even others have been able to take advantage of after Fed started slowing done since 2010.. i always wanted him to switch to a bigger frame from much earlier like around 2008 or so to compensate for things u lose when u are aging as a tennis player which he finally did in 2013 when he already was much late into his career.. atleast now we are seeing it's results | ||

for anyone who's been watching Fed and know his game.. it's real easy to see his backhand is no longer a "liability" and has turned out to be a weapon this year.. he's been coming over his backhand way more than he's ever been and is being ultra aggressive even from there.. result being his win over his nemesis at Aussie Open.. and a pasting he's handed him in couple more encounters at Miami and Indian Wells..
