I could tell that they were afraid of a shooting rampage in the office. I was outspoken about my love of guns and they knew I was a good shot. To be fair, I did intimidated them. So, I can't blame them for playing it safe.

Terms ni istaaniki vaadi dobbutunnaru, HR doesnt understand a thing about termination and in India labor laws are literally non existent

If a decision is taken that he should be let go for cost optimization it cannot be a termination, its just letting people go, and for that you should give employee pay of what ever is left as per contract (notice period pay + holiday pay). He will get an experience letter and conduct on that will be said as good or fair. He will be told as let go for business reasons and will be treated fairly.

If a decision is taken to terminate employee, it should be for something he did wrong. It can be performance but enough evidence or grounds should be shown for that. He cannot be simply terminated. If an employee is terminated then employer isnt obliged to pay him for the notice period, and he will be asked to go immediately in most cases. In this case still he would get experience letter, but it will state that he is terminated for so and so reasons..

Desam lo labor laws strict ledu, unions levu kaabatti evadi istam vachinattu vaadu chestaadu. Ide alaa ikkada behave cheste K pagalagodataaru.

I had a personal situation couple of years back and HR sent a letter of termination without any reasons (reasons levu asala), and then it was cancelled by union immediately (as per local laws) and HR is asked to come to talk to them. Moosukoni cancel chesaadu, but then things didnt end there, they had to spend out money to get out of the mess they created themselves for no reason.

Regarding the difference between termination and resignation, there is a lot. It is not the severance or the money. It is the lawsuits etc. Monna CTS employee union labor minister ni kalasi dharna chesaru. ilanti sollu ekkuva india lo. at will employment anedi undadu. Notice periods are 2 months. vere company ki velli nappudu patha company experience letter ee kaadu relieving letter choopinchali. andulo resigned ani kakunda terminated ani unte inka ante sangathulu.

so resignation is better for both employee and employer.

People are watching too much US sitcoms and expecting some soft speech while firing an employee?:-)

Even in North America, in finance, IT, and information oriented organizations, employees are terminated on the day and asked to vacate. Happened to friends and family in the banking sector.

The HR has conducted herself correctly, until the last minute. Should have avoided raising her voice. That employee sounded like a dunce, forcing her to say the same thing over and over again.

whole life interacted with only 1 HR when leaving. HR is almost all smooth talking white ladies who pretend to be your best friends. But all of us know what they do and what they are for

Most of the times mass layoff appudu severance package istaaru.. Resign case lo ivvaru.. So some guys actually wait for termination rather than Resignation if they have offer in hand. Kontha managers deeniki help kudaa chestaaru

Wtf I couldn't even finish the call. Naaku ila cheppaledu, not due to courtesy, just bhayapadi sachaaru. I took some off shore guys to the gun range and had a very good day. Next day, perfect target ni office ni teesukochi desi manager ki choopinchi, " I never shot this good in the past. I just imagined your face and I got this nice group of headshots" ani cheppaa. Jadusukunnaadu. His face got pale.

They had to come up with an interesting plan to let me go. Although my client didn't ask me to travel to Florida, they told me I have to go there for 10 days or leave the company. They wanted to fire me and they knew I can't leave my newborn daughter for 2 weeks. So, when I said no, they said good bye
