Kadapafan:

GST:
1. In an ideal situation, end user - common man will benefit from lowered prices, which is an indirect effect of tax-credits at different levels of goods/services delivered.
However, retailers/restaurant-owners would generally be greedy enough to increase prices to maintain the same profit/margin which they were earning pre-GST.
In the long-term, due to competition the scenario might change. Say for example, Paytm might bring down prices and other follow suit - common man benefits.

2. Demonetization: Good step towards moving un-taxed money to banking. Execution might have failed, but definitely a step towards progress.
Common man - agreed there was some trouble.
Many tax-payers, including IT employees, mis-used tax benefits till now. One such example is HRA allowance - rent paid would be, in most cases, less than what is reported on tax returns.

Thanks for your patience.

Sale within the state CGST + SGST VAT + Central Excise/Service tax Revenue will now be shared between the Centre and the State

Sale to another State IGST Central Sales Tax + Excise/Service Tax There will only be one type of tax (central) now in the case of inter-state sales.

GST is for uniform tax code which is implemented in hundreds of countries and is viewed as best way forward. You might have a problem with implementation and tax slabs which is fine but GST is not good ane view evariki ledhu.

Demonetization is a way to weed out black money. Now all money came into banks and went out. There is a trial
