Bhayya, I have undergone complete left hip replacement surgery 4 years back. Pedda major compalints emi levu after surgery, ekkuva stress cheyyakoodadhu. Hip replacement ki guruva reddy gaarike baaga perundhi. Ceramic on ceramic is good, kaani cost ekkuva. life time will be 30-35 years. Surgery cost ekkuva vuntundhi compared to knee replacement and time kooda ekkuva paduthundhi. But result will be good, naa case lo aite, 90% improvement ani cheptaanu. My sister who is 40 years old, had a total knee replacement(TKR) last year owing to arthritis. Usually joint replacements are carried in old people (because these joints have an estimated life of 20 years), who are at least 55 years or old, but she had go through TKR for better quality of life then. Everything seemed okay several months, but suddenly she kind of turned immobile and investigations revealed that one of her hip joint (on the same side of TKR) is severely damaged. Sooner or later, hip replacement surgery is due. For Knee replacement, we sought referrals and finally settled with Gurava Reddy and his team at Sunshine Hospitals, although it costed her a bomb. Now, I am trying to sort out few options and would appreciate if you know anyone who recently went through Hip replacement surgery or heard about Surgeons/Hospitals with good outcomes (%). I am interested to know the opinions of patients and referrals for Surgeons/Hospitals. Unfortunately, internet has not helped me much and I think neither it is an option to scout for doctors/hospitals. I appreciate anyone's ideas/help in this. |
