You can continue being a developer even on cloud. Just a set of new APIs vaadaalsi vastundhi if you are developing for cloud. However, if you are an architect, you need to think in terms of cloud when you conceptualize the solution architecture of your workload. That requires you to look at individual components of your solution separately and decide what to do with the data handled by those components and the actual services themselves. For instance, you can still work on an on-prem client server Java application but use Amazon SNS notifications for delivering SMS alerts from your app. So you are still using cloud technologies but your app is completely on-prem. Yeh stack annadhi kaadu right question - All clouds support all stacks these days. You need to worry about if you want to concentrate on architecting solutions that use the public cloud in full or in part, or look at on-prem virtualization techniques to ensure you have a private cloud at your disposal - Openstack, Cloudstack, Eucalyptus, VMWare etc. Ramayanam ayipoyindhi kaabatti here's my suggestion.
