They'll send you email with 14 leadership principles.
Every one of them, you have to have 4 distinct stories.
DISTINCT.
And then, you have to substantiate with word-to-word dialogue, with every 5 minute updates of those stories.
And before it ends, you'd be asked to re-iterate, and re-iterate, and re-iterate, and re-iterate, and re-iterate, and re-iterate...
That very specific situation and dialogue, until they stop typing and FINALLY listen to you.
Trust me, it is worth it, if you don't belong in this DB.

But fundamentally.
If you have a MS or BE degree..
They want you to solve every Programming Question from your CS Textbook, on the WhiteBoard, bug-free, within 10 mins, no question asked.
So long as the interview is going on, they are typing away an essay of 2000 words.
They don't want to type it. They only want to type three words. "Damn. That's Hired!!!"

the interview standards at high end companies have changed drastically.. either startups or high paying with stocks: the expectation to write the code bug free with all the corner cases in 30mins.. this is in some groups of Oracle, Amazon, Arista , microsoft.. the young crowd out of colleges have increased the standards.. this is in the core areas, not sure about IT though.. if you solve questions in leetcode, most of the questions come from that..recently a friend went thru this and that is his experience..

super strong developers..



One of the best Android Interviews that I had attended had the following procedure.
1. Code Reviews. A dev brought a macbook, Android Studio already set up etc. Showed me code, and I had to explain why that code was bad without touching or hovering over it to read the IDE Warning etc. Covered everything from ClassCast to ConcurrentModifications, bad ThreadPooling etc. The experience was awesome.
2. Solid 2 hours to fix 5 bugs, at least identify and pin-point 3 bugs from Exception stack-traces etc. If you know the technology, framework etc, you'd know wiring of the components, you'd know where to begin looking for tiny pieces that connect to other components etc.
3. Interview questions on Concurrency in Multi-threading, and SOLID Principles.
4. System Design and possibly 1 to 3 coding challenges. Sometimes, just because candidate did not recollect using a Stack was an easier approach to the problem does not necessarily mean they are not a super strong developer, so give a hint, and then ask another coding challenge problem. If they manage to solve first two problems without a hint, on the white-board, close-enough bug-free, then they are good enough for the job.
5. HR and Management based questions.

Jambal..NY interviews kuda same to same.. all banks are looking for super strong developers.. they are willing to pay what ever you ask as long as you prove you have the qualities you mentioned above.. its a harsh realization for experienced developers like me.. but yes.. you need to be really good at those topics..

The annoying thing is not the typing, but the lack of attention.
Despite being so much verbal and ranting out all the ideas that were arising in my mind over-and-over, again-and-again, if I am asked to explain the same thing again at least thrice, that's just pinching for the nerve.
Stress interview kaavochhu, but a stressful encounter in a meeting at work etc etc, isn't necessarily a hiring requirement, but a Management Concern anthey. Right amount of reaction is also important in a stressful situation, otherwise, Manager ante Dev ki kodaa lokuva ayipothaaru...

Go back and start Programming with C. Learn C. Signed 7-bit Char nunchi, ASCII based char-array problems etc etc. Anything and Everything is an Interview Question. 8 months solid programming practice lekundaa.. kashtam.
14 Leadership Skills ki prepare 4 stories each from your experience.
Have you said No to a Supervisor, Superior, Manager, Architect, very common. They want to hear every 5 minute detail of your story, every word used while arguing with a Manager etc etc.
