Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday made it clear that the Telangana government had never sought Parade Grounds as the venue for constructing the new Secretariat. "In fact, we are eyeing 55 acres of land for the new Secretariat. This will include 33 acres of Bison Polo grounds and 22 acres of adjacent Gymknana Grounds. We have received in-principal approval from the union defence ministry for being handed over the Bison Polo grounds," KCR said at a press conference here on Wednesday. Incidentally, the 22-acre Gymkhana belongs to the defence ministry and sources said the TRS regime is still negotiating with the Centre for taking it over. | ||

u might be a millionnaire....but remember one thing....even middle class kids can play polo....we have huge memories playing polo there.... cricket okkate game kaadu...Polo is rare sport and rare sports need to be protected and preserved.... I'd rather have secreteriat build in parade grounds as there are zillion cricket grounds all over and not in byson polo which is a rare jewel of the city.... | ||

Byson Polo aithe fine..akkada cricket pitches ekkuva levu..most of the days mamool public ki access kooda ivvaru.. I was more worried about regular Parade Grounds..which has about 12/15 pitches..that kids/youngsters use for cricket and ..people use for walking during weekdays.. | ||
