The promoters invest 5% and rest international investors ,Indiana and foreign banks are ready to pump is cheap money as equity or loans.Promoters pull out their investments in backdoor as kickbacks from contractors or cooking up the accounts and will be safe..they take salaries and perks as directors and managers..losses will be pushed to investors and who are forced to pump in more money for operations ..eventually down the lane some of they will sell their skate and loss and exit (Just like the case of Bangalore Airport) GMR and GVK are in heavy losses in Airport projects and they will not reach break even in the next decade GMR initially had come with good intention of making profits..but after losses it is trying to exit from Airport business BTW the air traffic has grown more than they initially planned | ||

An international airport is coming up in Andhra Pradesh, The union government gave environmental clearance for the establishment of Bhogapuram International Airport in AP. It is being constructed 45 km away from Visakhapatnam city. The Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has given environmental clearance for the construction the airport under a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) concession framework. The total investment will be around Rs 2260.73 crore. The AP government has created a special purpose vehicle Bhogapuram International Airport Corporation Ltd to take up the project. The current proposal is for phase-I of the airport where the airstrip will be developed to cater to the operation of Airbus-A380 type of aircraft. The new airport will help to reduce the air traffic load at the existing Visakhapatnam airport as its capacity will be exhausted in next few years. WE THE NORTH |
