I had this situation for my mother... She was coming to US (not first time), we plan on applying for her Green Card in that trip, in other words, she may not leave the country back after 6 months. I bought ONE WAY ticket while she was on Visitors visa at that time. In Aiport, airlines has rejected to onboard her. Immediately I ended up in buying one way(return) first class ticket for much higher premium price on phone with Airlines to get her boarded. After her arrival, I have canceled her return ticket as she got her Green Card . So, you MUST have return ticket if traveling on Visitors visa. But if you have legal way not to return back in time, you have work around like the above. | ||
