how is the company's general policy regarding having personal data on work machines.. if its not a serious issue, its better to approach them and ask them to help. I would say stay away from copying in any other way. | ||

another way can be disconnect VPN and at home share your office laptop entire drive with your home network and then panadaga chesko if possible  these days every activity is monitored and logged even off-VPN also. so better not to do any silly things and get into troubles. Only safe way is if the drive not encrypted, detach and attach to personal computer and copy. But I wonder if any organization not encrypting??? | ||

I got the same issue with previous client laptop...do it during non-peak traffic congestion hours (after 5 pm) and upload in small chunks to different folders like 100+ pics in one upload etc...it worked WE THE NORTH | ||
