Looks amd this map http://jammukashmir.homestead.com/Map_2_op_640x455.jpg Now as may peopel think India is not really controlling the enitire J&K India is claiming entire J&K is ours ,but most of it under occupation/control of Pak and china Coming to the parts controlled by India There are 3 1)Kashmir 2)Jammu 3)Ladakh Check the above map Jammu is Dominated by Hindus (and 90% of MLAs are elected from BJP) Kasmir is predominantly Muslims Ladakh-Buddists The people of Jammu and Ladkah have no problem.But the enitire problem is with few lakh people in Kashmir (not all people) When the world see teh kashmir problem..they will look at the whole map and think it is related to a big region of people Instead if Ladakh (and possibly Jammu) are made UTs with central rule..and if Kashmir region is scaled down to show a small portion on the mpa,the pshocolgical effect (of scale and magnitude) can be brought down | ||

Actually makes sense..Jammu is mostly peaceful area...leh and ladakh along with Jammu as a state is not a bad idea...but the down side is Kashmiris may unite and seek for a separate country much more strongly.. | ||
