This is true. What I noticed is that Babu often adopts something bad if he fails in fighting it. Example: As you stated, when TRS bought TDP MLAs for MLC election, Babu first cried foul but couldn't do anything to stop it. He then tried (unsuccessfully) to adopt the same strategy. Now he did the same with defector Ministers. Even with regard to populist schemes which any economist would oppose, he first opposed (when Congress promised in 2004) but adopted the same and deviated from his progressive/reformist methods after failing to stop YSR. First you accept that it was your imagination that Babu set the precedent in taking an opposition MLA into the cabinet in violation of the anti-defection law. As far as defections of MLAs goes I wouldn't agree that either KCR or CBN or YSR set the precedent. There are innumerable examples across the country and frankly I don't know who did it first and how they managed it. Also, that's an ambiguous subject as it is hard to tell at what point an MLA is deemed to have defected. For example, YSR never openly accepted that he took defectors from TRS. Cabinet lo teesukovatam different, nobody can deny that the MLA defected after he takes oath as a Minister while continuing as an opposition party MLA. Opposition MLA ni Minister ga chesukovatam new precedent set in 2014 by TRS government. That in no way justifies Babu following suit. In fact, he should be ashamed that he did the same thing soon after condemning it. But the fact remains that ours is a country where once a bad precedent that is politically advantageous is set, it is going to be exploited and used by competing politicians/political parties. The biggest blame for bringing this "kottha daridrapu sampradayam" goes to TRS. Governor Narsimhan ki kooda honorable mention ivvali...he is responsible for swearing in such Ministers in both states.
