The first biggie of the season, the much awaited Katamarayudu is releasing today. Although it started off as an uninteresting project, it turned out to be one of the craziest films after the teaser launch. Thanks to Pawan Kalyan’s humongous fan base and stardom, Katamarayudu started off on a high note right from the day its bookings are open. Katamarayudu is a regular mass entertainer with Pawan playing the role of a patriarch in a family of five brothers. It is the remake of a Tamil hit Veeram that was also dubbed into Telugu as Veerudokkade. Director Kishore Kumar Pardasani says that they have made enough changes to the original to suit Pawan Kalyan’s body language and image. Audio of the film got an underwhelming response, but the trailer infused confidence as it is loaded with the stuff that pleases fans. Makers are hoping that it will strike a chord with the mass audience and families to be a successful venture. Katamarayudu should collect around Rs. 85 crore share to be termed as a box office hit. However, fans would be hoping that it would beat Khaidi No. 150 record by collecting Rs. 105 crore. It remains to be seen whether Pawan could pull this regular masala film to such a level.
