I think its not possible to split it just like that.. Singing it being terribly underestimated in ur post.. i think all 3 are important and one thing will support the other and make the song work/ make it a classic... 1. Karigipoyanu karpoora veenala, malli malli idi rani roju etc. - Music, singer, lyrics anni came together so well anduke they are still fresh in mind... they are ever green 2. Some Rehman songs in telugu - Lyrics suck to the core.. singing may not be up to the mark (example hai re hai re hai rabba frm Jeans) but music will make it work.. kaani ivi classics kaalevvu.. enduku ante u will feel something is missing.. 3. item songs - no body gives a shit abt lyrics, entha masala unte antha hit.. entha dappulu unte antha hit... ikkada yedi important ante yevvadki telvadi.. all have to work together anthe... | ||

it doesn't matter who sings it, song should connect to the listener regardless of genre, professional non-professional doesn't matter recent example : Namo Venkatesaya lo title song, sung by a new comer, it was good, but was not upto the mark, mana DB loney vinatam thappa sangeetham nerchukoni normal janatha ke nacchaledhu, everybody felt that SPB would have done amazing justice to that song... case khatham | ||

veetilo dheni role entha? for me Music is 60%, lyrics 30% and singing is 10%. I mnever understood why people watch the singing programs or attend musical nites to hear songs they can play on their electronics at home. its not that original content is produced in these shows.
