Peace is achieved through strength. -------------- See, if you want to give justification, you can justification to any action. We are already big spenders on Defense, there is no need for extra spending increase. There is no country in the world that can declare war on america and America's naval power is so strong now (no country had this kind of naval presense ever in the history of man kind) that no country can move their goods or mobilize their army without America's consent. When you talk about cutting the spending, I beleive defense is the first one that needs its fat removed. There is NO WAY that you can justify increase in defense spending. | ||

Unfortunately there is no surgeon cut that does not cut vieins. Govt spending is like fat spread on viens. Till now govt have encouraged or dare not to cut the veins in fear of bad fallout. Let trump make the move. Govt departments should not be entitled to tax payers money they should spend judiciously and should be fighting for every dollar for thier department programs. Rural counties want manufacturing and steel jobs. For that made in America should work. Well elections have consequences.. I wonder what rural PA, MI, WI will feel about these cuts .. 'cos it's going to be hitting them first.. 10% up or 54billion up on a defence budget that is already larger than next 7 higher budgets puttogether!! Better yet .. 6! Of them are our allies.. there is common sense big government for you.. Then on the other side ...cut of funds to Meals on wheels , which is 95% run on donations and uses 5% of federal fund for admin costs !!! Another common sense cut right there .. Republicans will repent their tone-deafness , if this cut gets past govenrment.. There is fat that needs to be cut.. just don't cut the veins!!. By the way , 5th trip to mar-a-lago in 10 weeks.. that count as big government or small government ?  EPA and state department cuts are deep enough to have even republicans worried. Let's see.!! | ||

I like Trump Budget cuts and I oppose his increase in Defense budget. I would like to see more defense cuts than on civilian side, Otherwise even 10% cut across the ENTIRE GOVERNMENT (no selective cuts). | ||
