Be adventurous. Don't be that square peg. It is the worst cliche and the best recipe for disaster. The time to act is now. The time to change is two minutes ago. You know it, don't you? You just refuse to believe what is quite literally in your face begging you to realize it.

That's probably the most cliche sentence you have ever read. So why did I choose it as my title? The answer is quite simple - because it does explain the predicament 100% quite succinctly.

At some point in your life, you end up embarking on a journey that you have not planned for. You sign up for stuff you realize that you don't have the appetite for - a little too late. You continue on that disastrous journey unsure of what lies ahead; why you are even traveling; why you are scared of pivoting to something drastically different and infinitely better.

Fear of failure keeps you going. You probably believe more in the adage that a known devil is better than an unknown angel. You are shit scared of doing anything radical because you are answerable to your family. Simply put, you are continuing on the journey that you know is going to crash in epic proportion because you are afraid of making a change. You are afraid that the changed circumstance may not be ideal. However, what you fail to grasp is the intrinsic value of your current circumstance. It is going down steadily. You are racing towards that point of no return or probably have already crossed it.

At some point in the near future, you will reach that crossroads where you will be forced to correct course by an external entity. At that juncture, you will not be able to call the shots. You will again choose something that comes your way. You will quickly grab onto the nearest ledge for the fear of falling into the unknown that you conveniently assume as abysmal depths.

Be adventurous. Don't be that square peg. It is the worst cliche and the best recipe for disaster. The time to act is now. The time to change is two minutes ago. You know it, don't you? You just refuse to believe what is quite literally in your face begging you to realize it.

A beautiful picture. But a constant reminder that your life is not about riding into that sunset. It is about taking a left or a right turn here and face the other way. Don't follow the setting sun.
