My hope is that Vivek Ranadivé is the Silicon Valleyâbro version of Dan Snyder. I mean that sincerely! Remember when Snyder traded for Jason Taylor, or when he signed Albert Haynesworth? Those moves happened before he brought in Scot McCloughan and Jay Gruden. Since they took over football operations, Washington is no longer the laughingstock of the NFLâââitâs just a normal level of mediocre. Vivek should make a similar adjustment in Sacramento. Trading Boogie feels like a chance for a fresh start, if nothing else. Hopefully Vivek makes it one. He could fire Vlade Divac, who negotiated Sundayâs debacle, this offseason and hire someone with experience. Iâm ready to go full Sam Hinkie on this operationâââhire him! Today, after sending Cousins to the Pelicans for Buddy Hield, a protected first-round pick, and some change, it has none of those things. The Pelicans were reportedly offering essentially the same deal, minus Hield, for Jahlil Okaforâââthis was a terrible trade. Here is a quick rundown of every major move the team has made since Ranadivé became the majority owner in May 2013: 1) Shipped Tyreke Evans for Greivis Vasquez and some change. Vasquez didnât last 20 games on the roster and Evans is coming back as part of this Cousins deal. 2) Stauskas? Stauskas! 3)Chose to sign Darren Collison over keeping Isaiah Thomas, who is now a two-time All-Star on one of the five best teams in the NBA. 4) Gave Sim Bhullar a real roster spot and real minutes in real NBA games in what can only be called a gimmick. 5) Fired Mike Malone, the best coach the Kings have had since Rick Adelman, less than 25 games into his second season for reasons that remain completely inexplicable. Ranadivé said that Malone couldnât work with then-GM Pete DâAlessandro, but Malone is now chasing a playoff spot in Denver under DâAlessandro, who was part of the group that hired him. 5) Hired George Karl. 6) Hired Vlade Divac as the de facto GM. (More on him in a minute). 7) Traded Stauskas, a future first-rounder, and rights to swap picks in 2016 and 2017 to the Sixers for the right to offload the contracts of Carl Landry and Jason Thompson. That cap space was then used to sign Marco Belinelli, Rajon Rondo, and Kosta Koufos. Only Koufos is still on the team. (The team could have used the stretch provision on Landry and signed two of these three free agents, but didnât.) 8) Acquired Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissiere in a draft-day deal with the Suns. Neither has played in more than 10 games so far. Think about this: The best roster move the team has made during Ranadivéâs tenure was trading spare parts for Rudy Gay, and most Kings fans have been ready to part with Gay for 18 months. | ||

Pelicans are another horribly managed frachise...they have 4 centers inlcuding one of the worst cotracts in the NBA...Omer Asik...they will have to send atleast a first round pick to dump that...and they sent out a first pick to get Asik...Asik last played for them several months back. Inka reason ki vasthe...Anthony Davis does not want to play Center...so they keep adding centers. I don't think this is a great fit...but atleast they can make sure one of them will be on the floor for all 48 minutes...between Cousins suspension and Anthony Davis injuries...they will be good all the time I think they can trade one of them (likely Cousins) for a great haul later. | ||

2 reason why this happened...but timing and panic ki totally no justification... Reason 1: Unintended consequence of the new super max contract...that allows a franchise player (eligibility: MVP or 2 All-NBA selection in 2 of the last 3 years) to be paid 35% of the cap only by the franchise that drafted him. Boogie kurrod qualified and will want a 200M+ contract extension this summer. If Vivek does not give it to him, he will be upset and will leave in 2018. This provision was bought in to prevent departures of players like Lebron, Durant, Westbrook. It works well for small market teams with top-5 or top-3 players. But, All NBA player by definition is top-15...so 5-15 range players especially ones with attitude problems ki it will be a night mare. Agent chaala threads vadilaadu last night to prevent the trade....so that Boogie will not loose 50M+. Reason 2: Monna Boogie suspend ayithe Kings won against Celtics...idhi choosinappudu anukunna may be Kings should consider trading Boogie...but not for this terrible return.
