There are a couple of things that for changed with this new rule for EAD post Jan 17th.. Previously, EAD cannot be applied 90 days before expiry and Govt had to approve the EAD in a maximum 90 days...now this has been relaxed...EAD renewal can be applied 180 days before expiry and now govt does not have any time limit to approve...they can take forever to approve...but due to this relaxation, people who applied and are waiting for EAD can work upto 180 days after the expiry... | ||

I thought as per the new rule that came into effect on Jan 17th,2017..if a person applied for EAD, they can still work on expired EAD for upto 180 days after the expiry if they have applied and are waiting for the renewal....check with attorney for confirmation... | ||
