1. Be Ready with Chidren US visa type photos, scanned, max 900*900 resolution 200kb max 2. Be ready with scanned copy of fingerprint or signature , max 900*200, 1:3 aspect ratio, max 200 kb 3. scanned copy of passport , max 500 kb 4. scanned copy of OCI , max 500 kb 5. scanned copied of your passport first 2 and last page and your spouse **** proof of children Indian Origin 6. scanned copies of chidren data of birth - proof of relation ship Step-1 https://www.in.ckgs.us/oci/ 1. Visit the site and start following the instructions online to fill 2. select OCI in Lieu of PIO 3. it will lead us till payment is made (i chose UPS option both sides) 4. take appropriate download prints or save where necessary 5. finally after payment will ask you to go to GOVT website 6. go to https://passport.gov.in/oci/welcome 7. select "OCI in lieu of PIO" 8. fill the requires info 9. upload photo , signature you got ready in the beginning 10. upload supporting docs - you can upload and over write mutiple times 11. download OCI application , as part of workflow ##################################################### Once done goback to https://www.in.ckgs.us/myaccount/ enter information to complete process take all the checklist, send them to CKGS , after notarizing few docs and filling the rrequired info in OCI application post it ################################################ I think after verification they may ask us to send the original passport and PIO for stamping | ||

Originals not required initially.. once your OCI processed and comes back to Indian embassy in US.. you need to send original US passport and PIO for Match Up.. i don't think you need upload filled OCI application... 1. Complete application online 2. Upload picture 3. Upload signature | ||

Almost done with OCI in Lieu of PIO for children , will be sending it on Monday QQ : Have uploaded copies of passport, pio, photo, signature, Indianian origin proof on govt website. - I did not find any where mentioning us to send original pio to service provider all are copies - Also do we need to upload the filled in OCI with photo affixed again back to govt site ? Any one who did it already , please confirm. |
