Saw this earlier this week and showed it to my millennial too...it has some good insights, some cliched ones...I loved the comment about impact .. hear it so often at work The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim |

And technologically speaking, ruby on rails / javascript vadi somebody can make a website / kickass app in < 1 week or < 1 month so, talented millennials can accomplish what took years before in less than a month If everybody does the same thing, there's not enough money. It's the previous generations responsibility to provide opportunities, and give mentorship etc... Now, those guys share everything, outsource jobs and conveniently blame millennials using the same rehashed bullet points |

konchem carried away I've seen this endless flagellation of millennials everywhere they're lazy, they don't have work ethic. So, current guys have high expectations on millennials, don't invest in training, and expect them to succeed now tell me, who's looking for Instant gratification here? |

Rocketk2:he is talking about few things about millenials that involve effective engagement and fallacies of drive for instant gratification.
I understood that my point is, every generation thinks less of the ones succeeding them, and thinks the previous ones as chauvinistic old farts. I'm sure most people in 1950's saw themselves as war heroes and feared for future generations. If you ask now, gen x, y and millennials say those boomers are the worst a-holes ever technology is bringing new opportunities and revenue streams. Instant gratification through fb and twitter actually help tourism spending big time, everybody wants to be in the hip places. ecologically speaking, it's a catastrophe in waiting, but that's a different issue |
