New CBA done...voting expected to be complete by mid-January. Adam Silver showing that he is a really good comissioner by getting a CBA done well before the season ended and no threat of lock out. Implications: 1) If you draft a superstar, you are practically locking him up for 13-15 years. So, more incentive to draft really high. It will be really hard to get a franchise player in free agency. 2) They are making it hard to form super teams in future. Partly because of the above point and also by taking away some of the flexibility around cap holds.} |
