It is my responsibility to say No several times to my managers and directors. Emi mohamaatam ledu. No will always come with a detailed explanation /reasoning.

With one of the directors, it was a struggle at first(4 ppl quit my job before me on that team, within 18 months). Then he understood I can't be bullied. After several uncomfortable conversations, we know each other's boundaries, where to push hard, where to let it go.

try and do what they asked you to do or at least let them feel that you really put in an effort.. then after few days go back and say, see here is the case, I have worked on it, to the best of my knowledge I don't think this can be done in this time frame.

Always maintain a time sheet if the company has one well and good, if not you keep track of your work on your own, it helps a lot when you have to talk.. you have a reference to every damn thing you have done.

eppudannaa Doctor apptment etc kelthee she used to say u are paid for 40 hours and u need to compensate.

ekkuva pani chesinappudu she used to say we are fulltimers and will not be paid by hourss. aame torture thattukolkee my wife resigned. after few months aa manager torture thattukolekaa someone complained with HR and finally teh manager was fired

you are in tough spot dude. but ee desi gallu pani chestuu unte g.arige daka pani cheyinchukuntaru. i dont know if you are working on a single project with tight dead line or you have to put in more hours because you are working on multiple things at the same time. i used to have a manager sambar gadu. he used to give me multiple projects to work in parallel. after a while it started getting worse.
so when ever this guy gives me additional work i ask him when does he need this done and if it conflicts with the other stuff i am working on i would say i would like to work on this new thing. but i am working this other x, y and z so "do you want me to put something else that i am working on and start working on this new one or do you want me to pick this new one up after i complete what ever that i am work on right now". i works for me all the time. you will not find the work "No" with in the quotes but you said no :-)

why are u not logging actual hours? You need to set the right expectations. Samarpinchukuntam ante samarpinchkondi ane valle ekkuva...U must leave office @ 5 saying u need to pick up kids or take kids somewhere...

Block PTO one - two months in Advance

delegate work to others if u cant handle

tell him, if u stretch more, quality of product will effect. ask him if he is ready for it?
